Enjoying some great hikes and time with Maxx, Gracie, and my niece Kylie
I am so excited for the opportunity to work with your child as they learn and grow this year. Every year I am so eager to meet my new students and learn about their interests! This summer I was fortunate to participate in some online professional development on various online tools. I can't wait to share many of the exciting ideas and plans. I will bring many of these new ideas into the classroom this year from what I learned. In addition to my coursework and professional reading, I also enjoyed my summer by going on vacation with my family, hiking, gardening, swimming and reading. I know we are going to have a fun, challenging year. If we work as a team and treat everyone with respect we will have a successful year.
I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have two children, a son Maxx who is in a five-year electrical apprenticeship program and a daughter Grace who will be a Junior at Fairfield University studying nursing. I hold a dual undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. I received my Masters degree in Literacy from Lesley University. This will be my fifteenth year teaching in Westborough. I am an avid reader and enjoy sharing this passion as a voracious reader with my students.
I know that the first day of school can bring on some nervous feelings. I know that you will feel comfortable and at home in our classroom this year. Your teachers on "The Busy B's", are here to support you so that you will truly have a successful year.
I can’t wait to teach you science, it is yet another one of my passions! This year I will also be teaching you Social Studies and Mrs. Belbin will be teaching Math. Both Mrs. Belbin and I will be teaching ELA to our homerooms.
I am looking forward to learning and growing together.
